A founding partner of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey, the Institute for Advanced
Study has helped to define the science goals of the project and is
currently involved with the quasar science produced by the Survey.
Institute faculty and members serve on the Science Advisory Council and
have made contributions in such areas as target selection, simulation of
survey data, large-scale structure, databases and other complex
technical problems.
