Upcoming Down Time
The SDSS science archive data servers will be down for maintenance for parts of December 16 and 17. Please plan accordingly!
You will still be able to access SDSS catalog data through SkyServer and CasJobs, and work with SDSS data in SciServer.
Details
On Tuesday 16 and Wednesday 17 December 2025, there will be some major maintenance at the computing center that holds SDSS file-based data. This affects in particular:
- The Science Archive Server (SAS)
- Data Servers: https://dr19.sdss.org/sas/ and https://data.sdss.org/sas/
- SDSS webapps Zora and Valis: https://dr19.sdss.org/zora/
- Other SDSS web apps listed here: https://dr19.sdss.org/
- Data services such as rsync (rsync://dtn.sdss.org) and globus transfer for SDSS data
